Everything you need to know about HYIP and payment processors...
|
This is NOT designed to be an extensive exposé on ALL the major payment processors and their relative merits. Rather we will limit ourselves to they KEY players in the e-currency and on-line exchange arena as they relate to high yield income programs (HYIP) and AutoSurf (AS).
Since 9/11, this has become an ever-changing minefield and if your money and income streams are going to be secure, you will have to monitor not only the HYIP programs that you wish to place money with, but you will also have to have a modicum of knowledge of the ways you can deposit, withdraw and exchange into and out of them.
The list is NOT meant to be exclusive and is somewhat biased towards the North American markets. This is simply because this is where we and the majority of our members are based. As with our recommended high-yield programs, you should not take the information here as gospel without doing your own checking to make sure the information is STILL current, since the payment processing arena is just as volatile as the hyips that it services.
e-gold
News: 2007-01-10 - Still going strong for OVER a decade!
Although there have been some aspersions cast about the solidity and trustworthiness of this pre-eminent processor, it is STILL king of the heap!
Overview: This was the e-currency that started it all. e-Gold has been around a long time and has generated a good reputation. They do not often tinker with members\' accounts but WILL attempt to help in cases of fraud or hacking.
PROS: Certainly the most stable and respected of ALL e-currencies. Are generally HYIP friendly. e-Gold is WIDELY accepted by the majority of High Yield income programs. Account security is good.
CONS: No subscription facilities. Support is hard to reach and, if the person who you pay your money to disappears, they won't be of much help. You can only fund and withdraw through 3rd party exchangers.
Funding: Unfortunately, you can only fund your account through 3rd party exchangers which can cost anywhere from 2% to 20%.
Withdrawals: Just like funding, withdrawals can only be done through 3rd party exchangers, though the expense is usually less than funding and occasionally, you can even get a premium!
Exchange: Since it is one of the most popular currencies on the Internet, there is no shortage of companies offering to exchange your money. Better to use one of the ones on the e-Gold site though, since there are MANY horror stories of exchangers disappearing with funds.

AlertPay
News: 2007-01-15 - AlertPay announces GREAT advances for 2007
Coming in 2007 - More funding options, debit cards AND subcription payment facilities!
Overview: One of the FEW mainline processors left that OPENLY supports Pay4Surf, MLM and HYIP programs (though these programs have to pay higher fees). Based in Canada, AlertPay MAY be able to avoid the scrutiny of the US federal watchdogs, though this remains to be seen. Three types of account are possible: personal, premier and secure (see site for full details).
PROS: Is quickly gaining in popularity. Is NOT located in the U.S. Offers flexible funding options including credit card.
CONS: Not yet well established so no measurable track record. Verification is NOT mandatory. This is sure to raise the hackles of the powers that be.
Funding: E-Gold, Credit Card and bank wire are all possible.
Withdrawals: You can withdraw directly by e-Gold,check or bank wire with REASONABLE expenses.
Exchange: Program is still relatively new so exchange options are limited.

SafePay Solutions
News: 2007-01-10 - SafePay is STILL best option for subscriptions!
Even though SafePay lost its ability to offer MasterCard processing in late 2006, it still offers Visa, Discover and on-line e-check making it one of the best bets for subscription payments.
Overview: safepay
PROS: Lower rates than many other processors. Likely to me more friendly to hyips than most because it seems to have targeted these and autosurfs as its niche.
CONS: New and therefore a relatively unknown quantity. Does not YET have a network of merchants that offer it as a payment option, so there aren't many places that you can spend your SafePay dollars....
Funding: direct deposit, check, CC and e-Bullion
Withdrawals: Direct to US bank, check, and wire
Exchange: No options for exchange at this time.

FriendlyPay
News: 2007-01-17 - Fastest and cheapest e-gold to bank account method!
It often takes less than 24 hours to get cash from e-gold to our bank accounts with reasonable fees!
Overview: friendly
PROS: Wide variety of funding and withdrawal options, make this a convenient way to transfer money between e-currencies without incurring huge fees.
CONS: Not very widespread as of yet. Very few merchants accept FriendlyPay and thus there is not much benefit to having funds sit in your account.
Funding: e-Gold, eBullion, direct deposit or money order
Withdrawals: e-Gold, eBullion, cheque or direct deposit to Canadian and US account .
Exchange: Obviously, you can transfer between the 3 major e-currencies listed in the deposit and withdrawal sections.

SolidTrustPay
News: 2007-01-12 - SolidTrust gains ground as other processors run into problems!
SolidTrustPay is slowly emerging as a suitable alternative as others lose the confidence of many members for disclosure of sensitive personal data or for unreasonably holding funds from individuals or programs.
Overview: STP
PROS: Has a single level referral program. Can be funded with e-Gold or Virtual Money card. You can also transfer from AlertPay and SafePay. Low fees. Credit card funding may be coming soon.
CONS: Not yet being offered by many programs except its parent
Funding: e-Gold, VM, ACH or bank wire
Withdrawals: e-Gold, AlertPay, VM Card
Exchange: Various

GreenZap
News: 2007-01-14 - GreenZap is NOT living up to its promises!
Although it launched with MUCH fanfare and made many promises of great things to come including possible deals with unknown suitors, GreenZap has NOT lived up to its own hype!
Overview: greenzap
PROS: Has an active referral program so that you can start building a team even if you dont have an active account. You will receive $5 for every new member that you refer! There is no cost to set up an account and if you join using one of the links on this page, you will start off with a $25 credit . They claim that you will be able to use GreenZap on eBay, Yahoo and i-Tunes as well as MANY others. There will also be the possibility of adding a MasterCard debit card to the account.
CONS: Little or nothing concrete is known at this time, so don't spend too much time and energy here. But it DOES usually pay off to get in at the beginning if there is no cost or risk!
Funding: Unknown
Withdrawals: Unknown
Exchange: Unknown

CashX
News: 2007-01-10 - CashX is offline for maintenance/script change!
Members have been unable to access their accounts for a few days now! Terry posted that a new script was being considered!
Overview: cashx
PROS: Wide array of deposit, withdrawal and exchange possibilities. Very secure account. Seems to be open to most LEGITIMATE types of programs.
CONS: Still not very widespread. They are allowing some purchases thorugh PayPal (very dangerous IMHO).
Funding: You can attach US & CDN Bank accounts as well as e-Gold and e-Bullion accounts for funding and withdrawals.
Withdrawals: As mentioned above, there is a wide array of possibilities (see site for details).
Exchange: This is one of the few sites where you have the ability to hold funds in multiple currencies (ie. Cdn & US). This is handy for those like ourselves since most Internet transactions are in USD but our bank accounts are in Cdn.

StormPay
News: 2007-01-10 - StormPay struggling to survive offers $1 per referral!
As a result of losing its Credit Carrd facilities as a result of the 12DP debacle in early 2006, StormPay is now struggling and is offering incentives for referral. Lawsuits also pending against them!
Overview: stormpay
PROS: Low fees - Ability to withdraw to e-gold - Still has MANY members
CONS: No longer has credit card abilities. You have to be NetIBA approved to get the lowest fees (a cash grab!)
Funding: e-gold is the simplest way but there are still several other methods available.
Withdrawals: You can receive DIRECT payments to US bank accounts or receive a check (averages about 10 days), if you are international.
Exchange: An addition to the recent TOS changes is that StormPay does not allow ANY exchangers to deal in its currency. This is another drawback of this processor.
